Greetings from 🇬🇷 GREECE! 🇬🇷

For those of you who missed it on my social media platforms, Andrew fooled me into thinking he might not make it to Greece and then surprised Elaina and me. We are only going to enjoy him for a week, but I’ll gratefully take it!

We are having a delightful time so far visiting with family and friends. It is hot. I always forget how this kind of hot feels. It’s dry but, hot is hot when you don’t have central air conditioning like we are used to. The water is great! And the shade feels nice on the beach. I love when we have a nice breeze.

I always plan on moving here but we never do anything about it. Dean never wants to so you have nothing to worry about. I am the dreamer and he grounds me. That being said, there is nothing wrong with a vacation home here instead of a permanent residence.

I wish I could show you all around! There are so many great spots I have discovered and I feel like I am the only American who knows about them. However, I have a feeling there are millions of places to discover and you would do just fine without me. I am so afraid Greece will become like any other country in the Mediterranean. As of now, there are so few major chains and hotels and touristy like places. You feel so free! It feels so untouched and different. You feel like you have gone back in time. You don’t feel like you are being sold to or cookie cutter. It’s just raw and untouched. Everything is open air in the summer so it feels so safe Covid wise.

I plan on being back August 5th.
